This week marks the 6-month anniversary of the death of our friend and Night Shakers’ lead singer Chris Lennox. Though we suspended live shows back in January, our FB page continues to get many views from fans and friends wondering about The Night Shakers’ future. The band had a great run over several years and it was a hard decision but we decided to disband. Chris was the voice of The Night Shakers and we couldn’t envision going on without him. Some of our members, all fine musicians, have gone on to other musical endeavors.

We want to thank our loyal fans that supported us and the great local music venues that hosted us, including The Knickerbocker in Westerly RI, The Barn in Groton, The Narragansett Café in Jamestown RI, La Luna in New London, Filomena’s in Waterford and, of course, Daddy Jack’s in New London, where Jack Chaplin gave us our first gig in 2019. Thanks all!

The blues is what brought together the diverse members of The Night Shakers and is the glue that binds them. These five seasoned musicians perform a unique blend of vintage blues, including the formative Chicago-style electric blues from the 1950s, ‘60s and beyond. Legendary blues artists like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Howling Wolf, Buddy Guy,  and Freddie King are all represented, along with lesser-known artists who helped shape the genre and newer musicians who’ve kept the blues flame burning through the decades. Their love of vintage Chicago-style blues inspires their arrangements and performances, giving audiences a tasty helping of authentic roots music.
